1.Community living requires working together, which enhances the ability to cooperate and build relationships, vital skills for teaching.

2.To provide opportunities for student teachers to take on leadership roles and organize activities.

3.To help student teachers adapt to different living conditions and solve everyday problems collectively.

4.To cultivate self-reliance and personal responsibility by managing daily tasks and contributing to the camp’s upkeep.

Reflection 

Reflecting on my recent community living camp experience, I am struck by the profound impact it has had on my development as a student teacher. This camp was not just a break from routine but a transformative experience that offered invaluable insights and growth opportunities.My community living camp experience was an invaluable opportunity for growth and learning. The skills and insights gained from this experience—teamwork, communication, leadership, adaptability, self-reliance, and cultural awareness—will undoubtedly enhance my effectiveness as a future teacher. The camp not only prepared me for the challenges of teaching but also enriched my personal development, providing a strong foundation for my career in education.

  STORY BOARD   As part of my phase-2 teaching practice session, I created a story board for the chapter 'A Shipwrecked Sailor' from eight standard Kerala English Reader textbook. MICRO TEACHING

Microteaching helps build confidence in future educators by allowing them to practice teaching in a supportive and low-stakes setting. With regular practice, teachers can refine their skills and gain confidence in their abilities. I demonstrated the skill of reinforcement during my microteaching  session. I employed various positive reinforcement techniques such as verbal praise, encouragement, and rewards to reinforce desirable behaviors and achievements among my students. It provided me a platform  to receive constructive feedback from peers and instructors. This feedback helped me reflect on my teaching methods and make improvements.

PHASE 2-WEEK 6

Day 24 started with a morning assembly to commemorate ‘National Moon Day’. There was a role-play to spread awareness on the Chandrayaan-3 mission. HM congratulated us:- student teachers, for coordinating the role- play. In my classes, I conducted an achievement test, to evaluate the students’ overall understanding of the unit ‘Hues and Views’. Majority of students showcased average performance in the test. These tests also revealed areas where students had gaps in their knowledge or difficulties with certain concepts, allowing for targeted remediation and support. On day 25, there was an essay writing and quiz competition held in our school in association with celebrating ‘National Moon Day.’ In my classes, I made my students form groups and write a news report of the shipwreck incident in their story.
