During the 6th period I conducted a physical education class in 8th .The objective of the class was to provide information on calisthenics exercise emphasizing fitness sense of rhythm and neuromuscular coordination. On day 30 I gave an interesting language activity in 9th. it was called story chain. I started with the sentence and each student adds a sentence to build on the narrative . All students actively participated in the activity and made it an interesting one . In 8th I conducted a Diagnostic test in relation to the grammar concept active and passive voice. On Day 39, I made the students write a diary entry by Kamala Das on the day her grandmother died . I made them read their diary entries. they were very interesting, in spite of some spelling and grammatical mistakes . In 9th, I gave a language activity. I asked them to write a story or poem based on the theme of the story The happiness machine . The students were very excited and started thinking in their own unique ways. On day 40- the last day of the teaching practice session, I spent my class hours in both 8th and 9th by interacting with the students and distributing sweets to them.I bid them goodbye and wished them a bright future. During the lunch break I went to see some of the teachers including my English teachers Subhadra Ma'am and Beuna Ma'am. I received their greetings and thanked them for being a mental and guide.
The teaching practice session allowed me to apply the educational theories which I had learnt in my B.Ed course to real classroom settings. It helped me develop effective classroom management strategies, create a positive learning environment accommodating diverse student behaviours and needs. The teaching practice session also helped me develop skills in lesson planning, framing objectives, instructional delivery and preparing evaluation different tools. It also helped me to identify my strengths and weaknesses and provided a chance to experiment with several innovative teaching approaches , methods and techniques. It also fostered a sense of professionalism, discipline, autonomy and a deeper understanding of the responsibility and ethical consideration involved in teaching.
